Mission Ready: Aerospace & Defense Portfolio
The Full Story
About Me
There's no denying that I'm a bit of a military nerd. I've always been fascinated by aerospace and defense—not just what exists now but what’s being built next. For me, it’s more than a career; it’s a way to contribute to something bigger. Knowing people who have been, or will be, in harm’s way in defense of the U.S. and our allies gives me a deep sense of purpose. I feel a personal obligation to ensure they have the tools and technologies they need to come home safely.

My first time teaching Sensors - Principles of Data Acquisition.
I've been fortunate enough to have now brought these concepts to military clients in the field.
My Early Start
IEDs, Humvees, & Crash Dummies

My first Engineering role began at the University of Virginia Center for Applied Biomechanics. I was fortunate enough to support the WIAMan Project testing being conducted there. These dummies were being designed to study human injury from IEDs (improvised explosive devices).

I was still in college, and I had friends deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. The threat of IEDs, for them, was very real. I still remember what it was like to hear on the news that Marines or Soldiers had been killed in an IED blast (and often the following ambush), and the grim worry that it could be someone from my neighborhood.
Anything to help keep them safe was meaningful to me, and in a small way, being a part of the WIAMan project gave me that opportunity.
As I look ahead, my mission remains clear.
My Professional Mission
At the heart of my work is a belief: the technologies we develop today shape the lives of those in harm's way. I’ve been fortunate to contribute to projects that protect those who serve and push the boundaries of aerospace and defense innovation.
For those of us in the private sector, the trust of the people who risk their lives in combat—or in space—is earned, not given.
Integrating civilian technologists, as discussed in the book Kill-Chain by Christian Brose, continues to be an essential component to our defensive posture.
Whether supporting frontline operators, collaborating with cutting-edge teams, or championing cross-functional solutions, I’m committed to doing what I can and learning what I need to make a meaningful impact.
My mission is simple: to deliver solutions that safeguard lives and drive innovation. It’s more than solving technical challenges—it’s about serving the people and missions that depend on us.
